I don't think I have read a story that truly bares the soul! It may sound cliche but I laughed, I cried, it moved me!! This is a story that everyone should read; especially our young people.
Your past does not have to dictate your future and Rayshawn is a living example of that!

The author's candid story telling drew me in immediately. I was championing for his victory with each trial he faced. I am happy that I finally purchased this book. When my friend allowed me to read a chapter of his book, I was in tears because I remembered some of my old demons and the tears were a reminder of how far I came. This book is everything; humorous, sad, angry, cautionary, and loving. I think this book should be required reading for at risk kids. Actually it should be required reading. I love you Rayshawn and I am so proud of you.
I really only knew the author as one of my teammates and have always been proud he was one. After reading this, I never knew what he went threw to get to that point. He proves when you get out of your own way, you can achieve great things!
