Unless you are prepared to buy the four-book series, don't even start this book.I don't consider myself a "reviewer," so take this for what it's worth. I thought this book was poorly written, but the premise suckered me in. If I had realized it would end in the middle of a scene, trying to force me to buy Book 2 in a series of four to find out what happened to the two main characters, I never would have read past the first couple of clunky chapters.
In addition to the poor writing, I found Eric and Ursula, the 12-year-old protagonists, to be unlikable. I really didn't care enough about what happened to them to buy another book in this awful series.

An ExtraOrdinary Beginning The Adventures of Eric and Ursula Book 1 edition by AD Winch Children eBooks Reviews
An excellent and well written book by a budding young author with a lot of potential. The first in a series, i am very excited to read the following ones.
good
good !
very good. really enjoyed it
well written, an from the point of view of two exceptional young peopled with very different backgrouns. It takes awhile for the reader to see to what end their talents will be used for, or in this case, harnessed by their keepers, but it's a satisfying story.
This was a great book! The beginning was a little slow, but keep reading because it gets really exciting! It had a good plot that kept me wondering what was going to happen next. It was about two children called Eric and Ursula. They're brought together when Eric's parents decide to come up with a suitable friend for Eric because they're going on a second honeymoon that will last eight months. The parents decide to have a puzzle contest run in the paper.
The only thing I didn't like (besides the bad guys using bad language), was that there were some typos, like "You're mother and I" should have been "Your mother and I", etc.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book!
ADW has written a SyFy novel about Roswell, NM. The episode at Roswell had long been over, but the US Government continued to monitor the people in the area to determine is anyone or more had been effected by the crashed spacecraft. There was. The changes were not noticeable until
two children began to exhibit a high intelligence. This is an excellent read for the genre..... ER
